Chicken Katsu Charcoal burger


A classic burger, but better. Our Salted Egg Cheese adds a distinctive flavor that sets this burger apart from the lot. The key is, be GENEROUS with the sauce.

Time: under 45 minutes

for 4 servings

  • 8 frozen chicken katsu
  • 4 charcoal/ plain buns
  • 4 leaf green lettuce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • fine sea salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Sauce: 5 tablespoon Served with: Salted Egg Cheese


  • Air fry/ deep fry frozen chicken katsu and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread flat sides of charcoal/ plain buns with butter. Cook until crispy, about 30 seconds per side.
  • For Salted Egg Cheese, simply stir well after reheating (microwave/ on-stove) to get a consistent texture.
  • Assemble charcoal/ plain buns with condiments, chicken katsu and top with Salted Egg Cheese to desire!
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
